When will the Barbie Girls world close?

BarbieGirls.com will shut down at 11:59 PM ET on June 1, 2011. The international Barbie Girls websites closed on April 30.

Why is the Barbie Girls world closing?

Can I purchase a new V.I.P. subscription?

We no longer sell V.I.P. memberships to BarbieGirls.com. However, your daughter can play on the site for free until June 1, 2011. She just needs to log in with her current account information or create a new basic account.

Can I renew my existing V.I.P. subscription?

Unfortunately, you cannot renew your subscription. However, if your daughter's V.I.P. membership was active in the last six months, she should still be able to access all her virtual stuff.

I recently purchased a 3- or 6-month V.I.P. subscription at BarbieGirls.com. Can I get a refund?

Yes. You will soon receive an email regarding your refund options. The information will be sent to the email address associated with your daughter's Barbie Girls account.

What happened to Super B Chat?

Super B Chat (our filtered, moderated chat) is no longer available, though you might still see references to it on the website. All registered members can use B Chat (a menu of dropdown words and phrases) until the Barbie Girls world closes on June 1.

Can my daughter save her fashions and furni from Barbie Girls?

Unfortunately, there's no way for her to download these virtual items. However, she can take screen shots if she'd like to save pictures of her character's room and outfits.

• On a Mac: Press the command and shift keys at the same time. Then click your mouse, hold, and drag a square around the area you want to save. When you release the mouse click, the picture will automatically save to your desktop.
• On a PC: Press your prt sc key. Open any kind of image software or image viewer and press the ctrl and V keys at the same time to paste the picture. Then save the file to your computer.

How can my daughter stay in touch with her Barbie Girls friends after the website shuts down?

The BarbieGirls.com experience is intended to be anonymous and does not allow girls to share or exchange personal information. We encourage your daughter to use our updated B Chat phrases to say goodbye to her virtual friends.

Yes, but redeem your code soon so your daughter has time to play in the Barbie Girls world before it closes on June 1.
